Meet Dr. Reem Abdulrahman

Dr. Reem Abdulrahman is the founder and lead orthodontist at Inspire Orthodontics, where she has built a practice around a simple but powerful belief: that a beautiful smile and a healthy airway are not separate goals — they are the same goal.

Dr. Reem completed her dental training at Temple University in 2012 and her orthodontic residency at Einstein Medical Center in 2020 where she developed a deep interest in the relationship between jaw development, airway health, and long-term wellness. She pursued advanced training in airway-focused orthodontics, sleep-disordered breathing, and miniscrew-assisted palatal expansion — bringing a level of specialization to the Upper West Side that is rare in New York City.

She is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO), a board-certified diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO), and holds memberships with the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), and the American Society of Airway-Breathing and Airway Biomimetics (ASABA). These memberships reflect her commitment to staying at the forefront of the evidence on how orthodontics intersects with breathing, sleep, and systemic health.

Loved Dr Reem! New facility, which means newest technology and equipment. We were looking for more than an orthodontist, as we were concerned bc my daughter is a mouth breather and Dr. Reem addresses this - breathing, jaw size, things we had read about but didn’t really know how to address and we were SO grateful to have found Dr. Reem! Started when my kids were 6 and 8 and I think my younger one was the perfect age (6) bc all the big teeth aren’t in yet (many say this is too early), but I think before the big teeth come in is better!
